When I was a
child, my dad make a promise to me, to go to Disneyland. He said that when I
get old enough we’ll meet that amazing place. And, at 15 years old, in October
2015 we did.
I was so nervous
because my parents did know NOTHING about english, basically I knew that I’ll
be like a “Personal Translator”, and I was thinking “I’ll be good enough for
that? What if my english level can’t be helpful?”. The Word “enough” was always
on my mind, and my anxiety was growing and growing.
When we arrive there, It was… I don’t know how to describe it, just amazing. In
first place, the airport, IT WAS SO HUGE. There was a lot of people of a lot of
different countries, even if October is off season there, it felt like that
enourmus establishment was full.
but when we reach
the hotel, I noticed that there could be more people, that helped me a lot to
be honest because I have trouble when there’s a lot of people in a place, so my
anxiety about my english lvl got smaller.
So, we were there
10 days. And obviusly we went to fulfill the promise, to Magic Kingdom.
They received us
with a performance in front of the Cinderella’s Castle. I remember all
Princesses and characters of my childhood dancing and singing, even some of
them said hello to me, I almost cried to be honest.
Another memorable
moment was at night, we sat in a place near the castle to be able to see the Fireworks.
There were a lot of Mickey’s shape, colours, and even different sounds, some of
them were moving!
I’ll never forget
that place. I’ve had that feel of being a child again. When they say that “Disney
makes you feel magic”, it’s 100% true. And, the most important thing, I
discover that my english level was enough and even better than I though, Thanks
to that experience I feel so proud of me, But without a doubt, I have to keep
practicing.
